that foggy feeling...

It has been very grey, rainy and foogy here for about a week.
And we are tired of it.
I have been trying to get a good "foggy feeling" shot but cannot seem to get the right feel for it.
Shooting the lake is not good, it just disappears. I need to get in the middle of the lake and shoot back to shore...but that ain't happening. LOL.

This is a horse pasture I pass every morning on the way to the gym. This was shot on Friday, in the rain, from the side of the road.

from last summer...

I have been working on a mini-album of photos from our trip last July to the Oregon coast.

Came across this image - taken by Hannah. Miss Cadi right in her face, Grandad reading the paper, my feet on the ottoman, sun streaming in the windows.

Just a typical morning in the RV.

And I wanted to share it.

in like a lion...

Yep, it is a typical March here in North Carolina.

In like a lion...we had snow on the 2nd.
Then it turned 80 for a few days.
Then it became gray, gloomy and rainy for a while.

Today - about 75 and clear...now it is raining. Tomorrow about 50 and clear.
Tomorrow is the first day of spring.

One thing is for sure....

you know it is spring when the forsythias bloom

ch...ch....changes....

Playing with the ol' bloggy. You will see a few changes in layout for the next few days as I experiment.

Hmmm....perhaps the font is too large now.....

And since we need to include a picture....Mr. Chris putting on some finishing touches from his house last week....every new home needs a locking front door!

you get what you pay for....

During Christmas I pulled out a 1000 piece puzzle and we put it together on the breakfast table. We have kept a puzzle going since, putting in a piece here and there in our spare time. A fun way to fill in some blank time while cooking or waiting for dinner.

I have been picking up puzzles at our local church thrift store - since I am there donating about once a week anyway. Puzzles range from $0.25 to $1.00 - quite a bit better than $5 and up for puzzles you put together only once.

The only problem - sometimes things are missing....

So $7.99 = 1000 puzzle
$0.25 = 993 piece puzzle

Cheap or simply more challenging??? Lets go with...we are getting our money's worth!

snow day #3...

Last night it started to snow with big fluffy snowflakes. We had about 3" when we went to bed. Got up this morning, and it seemed it had packed down then frozen. Did not look like there was as much out there as the night before. Still, school is called off.

Out we went. Hannah went down the front slope about 2 times on the sled and decided she was done. So Chris and i did a few dozen runs.

Then he talked her back on for a couple of runs.

Then some snow ball fights and snow baseball. Even Tiger got in the action -

Not sure if it will warm up enough today to clear the roads...if not, then probably no school again tomorrow....
